Lounge about luxuriously in this stunning reproduction of a 1930s black, liquid satin tunic dress. This was originally designed for a television show, and still has lots of life in it! It would look beautiful with black silk pants, leggings or over a slip dress or pencil skirt. It features a high cut slit at centre front and back. The front features a deep V-neckline, two shiny black shank buttons and a rounded flat collar. The collar and centre front are trimmed with beige scalloped lace. It slips on over the head and snaps closed along the left side. The sleeves have gathering at the elbow and large slits up the back.
This dress was used in a 2017 TV series set in 1930s Depression-era Iowa.
COLOR: Black, Beige
MATERIAL: Unsure, it is quite slippery so likely a rayon or synthetic satin
LABEL: No label
CONDITION: Overall great condition, but there is some rippling on the silk at the elbows which may come out with a good steam or pressing. There is also one small fabric flaw on the left side of the body just beside the armhole seam and a gap in the topstitching of the left sleeve slit.
