The Tyrolean shape splits the difference really nicely between a tailored jacket and a more rugged piece of outerwear, and — believe it or not — the fit was ten years in the making. It's great for channeling Captain Von Trapp (in a good way,) but also for standing out from the pack (in the best way.) Because while all of your friends might be wearing that same waxed overcoat with the same corduroy collar, you'll be several times more polished, and just as warm, in an Italian twill jacket that's not a sportcoat. (And your undercollar will be made out of suede.) How about that.
